At Hope for Healing, we place and emphasis on present mind state and the happenings in your daily life, rather than the events that have led to the difficulties you may be experiencing. Through CBT we will learn about your history but our focus remains on a positive future state and developing more effective ways of coping with life.
CBT is provided by a licensed social workers after a thorough evaluation. We consider your past experiences with other therapeutic models and establish a treatment plan to address individual needs. Our clients are involved in this process every step of the way, including identifying concerns, goals and expectations.
During CBT sessions we may discuss your mental health condition, identify troubling situations and symptoms, share thoughts about problems, identify negative or inaccurate thinking, and practice techniques for relaxation, coping, resilience, stress management, and assertiveness.
In time, positive thinking and behavioral patterns will become a habit and won’t take much effort.
